BIEMH is a hit for M.A Ford’s Spanish distributor, Sumec

One of Europe’s most important trade exhibitions and has proven to be a success once again for M.A Ford Europe’s Spanish distributor, Sumec S.L., with interest in new products exceeding expectations and resulting in high levels of requests for demonstrations and application tests.

The recent BIEMH international machine tool show is held biennially in Bilbao, Spain and this was the second time Sumec has exhibited at the event since being appointed by MA. Ford Europe in 2013 as the company’s official Spanish distributor.

In addition to exhibiting current products from M.A. Ford Europe’s extensive range of high performance cutting tools, including the 277, 278, 180 and 137V series, Sumec also displayed the new 137VF, 137VR and V5LCB, which has up to 4 x diameter cutting length and integral with chip breakers for high feed profiling applications.

Stephen James, M.A. Ford Europe’s Sales Manager, also attended the exhibition to provide additional technical support to Sumec was impressed with the level of response and interest from visitors. He said: “Sumec is very active within the aerospace industry and other sectors in Spain where high performance precision machining is essential to maintaining productivity levels.”

He added: “The introduction of new product lines, which were being shown for the first time in Spain, attracted a lot of interest, which was great to see. Based upon the number of visitors to the stand that showed an interest in our existing and new products both Sumec and M. A Ford will be very busy in the months ahead.”
