M.A. Ford Europe has superseded its original YouTube presence with the launch of a new channel that brings together high quality and informative content based around cutting tool demonstrations and specifications, as well as insights on the company and its technologies.
Managing Director, David Ward, explained: “To a limited degree we have always posted videos on YouTube to demonstrate the performance of our tooling filmed in real manufacturing situations at our customers’ premises. However, technology has moved on, not only in cutting tools, but also in video production techniques, so we felt it was time for a fresh start with a completely new channel showing higher quality and more recent content.”
Alongside a corporate introduction video, there are already a number of films, which provide details on key products from the company’s tooling range, as well as information on their development and application, together with demonstration on the Rego-Fix® tool holding system.
M.A. Ford Europe’s Custom Tools division and UK manufacturing plant in Leeds also features within the first batch of uploads, which provides insights and information on the tooling design and manufacturing processes.
David Ward added: “We have hundreds if not thousands of videos of our high performance tooling in action, but our plan is to be selective and not just to add every video that we capture to the channel, as we want to ensure that the quality and information they provide is of value to customers and distributors. We also now have our own filming capability at our Derby HQ and technical training centre, so that some content can be shot in a controlled environment with our tooling pushed to extreme limits of performance.”
The new YouTube channel forms part of M.A. Ford Europe’s increasingly active social media activity, which, inaddition to this website, includes Linked In; Twitter; Facebook and Instagram.
