As MD, David’s role is unsurprisingly diverse, as he has ultimate responsibility for the overall performance of M.A. Ford across the UK and Europe, as well as the broader strategic and operational aspects of the business, in conjunction with the senior management team and our North American parent company.
A qualified metallurgist, David has more than 30 years’ experience in engineering, manufacturing and high-performance cutting tool solutions and joined us in 2004 with responsibility for technical sales.
He was appointed as MD in 2012 and with fellow directors embarked on significant investment in manufacturing and development that has seen the company achieve unprecedented levels of sustained growth.
Outside of work, David can usually be found on a golf course in the Midlands or near our manufacturing operation in Yorkshire.
