New tooling launches at MACH 2022 from M.A. Ford Europe

Visit us at MACH 2022 in Hall 20: Stand 560

MACH 2022 is the launch platform for several new high-performance tooling ranges and product range extensions from M.A. Ford Europe, covering both solid carbide and indexable insert tools.

Five new products are being launched within the 9-flute TuffCut XT-9 end mills range, including extended flute length and necked options, as well as integral staggered chip-breaker variants. All TuffCut XT-9 tools use the latest ALtima Xtreme coating, while the multi-flute design not only minimises harmonic vibration, but also enables high feed rates to be achieved when machining titanium, Inconel, stainless steel and similar materials.

The TuffCut X-AL range, dedicated for aluminium and aluminium alloys, sees the introduction of the new Series 137V5 end mills, which use a vari-helix 5-flute design and a new Fordlube coating, together with through coolant and staggered chip-breakers, to deliver high feed rates with excellent chip evacuation.

A new end-cut geometry features on the 3-flute Series 137V N3; N4 and N5 end mills for aluminium, which allows plunge machining up to 1xD in both roughing and finishing applications, while the tools are also available with ‘necked’ options in 3, 4 or 5 x diameter.

For 3D and profile machining applications, our FordMAX FBPM profile mills use a 254 degree spherical ball design and ALtima Xtreme coating for increased versatility and performance on a wide range of ISO material classifications.

The Series 250 2-flute ball nose end mills are the latest additions to the TuffCut 3D range and use the ALtima Blaze coating for high performance slotting and 3D machining applications in alloy steels and hardened steels, <50 HRC, as well as titanium and stainless.

M.A. Ford Europe’s extensive hole-making range will also be on display at MACH including the new 3xD and 5xD Twister HPD solid carbide drills and the GHDS 3xD indexable drills. Both deliver high performance machining, extended tool life and reduced cost per hole. The HPD range is available in diameters from 3mm to 16mm and the GHDS ranges from 14mm to 40mm diameter.

New FBCM chamfer mills, FordGrip hydraulic milling chucks and a range of high-performance taps complete the new product line up at MACH, many of which will be part of the live demonstrations being run on the stand using a Haas VF2-SS machining centre throughout the exhibition.

Our Integrated Manufacturing Solutions (IMS) programme is also acting as a theme for the stand design and tooling displays. IMS combines our high performance tooling with a range of complementary technologies to help optimise machining and enhance productivity.

Recently extended with the addition of Spike® TDS tool force mapping and TMS automated tool management, IMS also incorporates HSM tool path optimisation software and REGO-FIX® precision tool holding, as well as unrivalled technical support.
